What are our options after vehicle repossession?

repossession

Long story short, after losing my job some months ago we just had our family van repossessed here in British Columbia. Yes, we were behind in our payments so we knew Wells Fargo might repo the van. Are there any options for us to try to get the van back at this point? Or, barring that, any options to get our personal stuff out of the van?

They MAY let you have it back by catching up the payments plus the repo fee at one time but they don’t have to. They can demand payment in full of the entire outstanding balance if they want.

And I think you only have 10 days before they can legally sell it.

The bank doesn’t want the van and they don’t want to sell it. The fact they repoed it suggests they have given up on you.
