For many apartment dwellers without roommates, having a neighbor collect the mail while out of town is the most convenient option. Rather than have your local post office hold your mail , you can take advantage of the fact that neighbors can access your building and check your mail, and you can keep in touch with a neighbor to learn about important items that arrive in your absence.
