I would like to finance a car, but 13 months ago I had a repossession. My credit is also poor. Does anyone have any advice about how to go about trying to get a car loan in my situation?

Assuming you have a respectable debt to income ratio, I’d try to get financed with the aid of a cosigner. With a repo on your credit, you are looking at really high interest rates, if you can get approved at all. Banks are more reluctant than they used to be. A really large down payment also helps.
