No. Most landlord will overlook a foreclosure as long as the rest of your credit is good and you have stable employment.

If you had a list of potential tenants, would your first choice be someone who couldn’t pay their last rent (Home loan)?
uh… a forclosure IS a negative credit bureau item.
I had a foreclosure from a divorce and was still able to get an apartment. Be prepared to pay the first month’s rent and any application fee they have, but you should still be able to get one as long as you are currently working.
Its not going to “ruin” your chance, but it will raise eyebrows and cause for a larger security deposit. No one can deny you housing based on a foreclosure. It would be against fair housing rules.
