How can we qualify to rent an apartment with bad credit?

February 3, 2010

My husband is getting out of the Army and we are wanting to move to Baton Rouge, La. We need to rent an apartment, but he has a bankruptcy that has been discharged since 2000, and we own our home in Indiana, but we may have to foreclose on it.

It’s just like a job interview baby girl, you’ve got to sell yourself. Talk to them, tell them before the credit check just what your situation is, blame it on an ex-spouse or your sibling for your reason for filing bankruptcy. Convince them that you are a good person and are now finacially stable. Don’t know where u live but try individual home owners as opposed to apartment complexes; they are more understanding and more at liberty to break the rules.

I am speaking from experience, take my advice, and i hope it helps.
