I have been checking out an apartment for a great deal and decided to sign the lease. However, the landlord needed to run a credit check first. I went by to check it out again today and on the door I see a foreclosure notice saying the owner owed $4,200 within the next 30 days or the unit would be foreclosed.

Why would you even WANT to rent the place after seeing a sign like that on the door!?
The owner obviously is in a financial bind, and most likely would rent to you, but continue to disregard paying the mortgage…
Find a place that isn’t being foreclosed upon.
