Ikea or Ross are great places to find things reasonably priced. You can try bed bath and beyond or linens or things too.

The Christmas Tree Shops really do have some nice things that are very reasonable. But, it depends on which on you go to, because some stores are ” picked over”. Home Goods has nice stuff too. If you hit their sales, you’ll make out quite good.

Depending on where you are, there are all kinds of options. I am currently remodeling a small house with a very small budget, and these are some of the things I have discovered… if there is a Super Target nearby, check out their $1.00 section. Occassionally you can find prints that look very nice when framed. Check out 2nd hand stores, antique stores, and flea markets. You can find some very unusual things there. Think creatively - things that were not originally intended as wall hangings look great hanging on your walls such as old utensils in the kitchen (you can even make mobiles from old silverware). Check out Dollar Stores. I made kitchen curtains from picture hanging wire and $1 t-towels from Dollar Tree. Browse hobby stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Pieces of interesting fabrics look cool in frames or hung from dowel rods. I have also found some great things browsing the clearance items at Pier 1, World Market, Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel. A little PhotoShop-ing on your own snapshots can look really cool and dramatic on the walls depending on the frames, etc. The important thing is to think outside the box and have a great time doing it!
