This is my first apartment and i want it to be as perfect as possible! I would like a spanish theme (pictures, decorations ect) to match my heritage. I read you aren’t suppose to do alot of colors in smaller areas so how many colors do you think would be ok? I was thinking a shade of brown maybe for the living room but Im not sure how that would go with my couch? Any ideas i added pictures of my couch and will have dark wood furniture. Also which walls should I paint and any suggestions on couch pillows? Pictures of specific paint colors would be REALLY helpful THANK SO MUCH!

First of all make sure you are able to paint your walls any color you want. I’d hate for you to paint and then get in trouble and be evicted for something so easily fixed or not done in the first place.
Even with just white walls, you can create a spanish flair with all the accessories, pictures and decorating.
If you want to go in the brown family, check out this color from Sherwin Williams-it is called San Antonio Sage. Go to Sherwin Williams.com and click on “homeowner” then “launch color visualizer”. Here you can type in the name of the color as well as explore their whole color center.
We recently painted our whole house and used this color in a bedroom. It is a great neutral and a great shade of tan. We also used Bamboo Shoot and Leapfrog in our home. They are both great neutral greens and we have the exact same type of furniture (the tan suede with dark brown leather) and dark wood.
If you like, I could send you some pics of the rooms. Let me know……
Looks like a really nice place!! congratulations!! For your living room wall, I’d go with something in the pale yellow family…(there are so many shades, but make sure the one you select is lighter, not dark!!) You really should stick with one overall color throughout, so think long and hard about it..if you do want different color walls, they should at least be the same color family; yellow, peach, tan, etc..(just an example to get you thinking) you sure would not want a yellow living room, blue hallway, etc… see?? AND get samples of the colors you are considering and paint some posterboard of paper with them, put them on the walls, and ‘live’ with them for at least 3 days…that way you can see how they look in the light from all the different times of day..sometimes a color you love on the sample proves to be not so great on your walls!! so do have fun and email me if you have any further questions…..and, I’d like to know what you decide on!!!
