I can’t remember the exact words, but the way it was stated made it seem like she meant inside as well. I always keep my snowmen and some of the others (no tree, lights, etc.) up all winter-can she tell me what I can decorate with inside my apt.? She is a new manager, and there is always some note on the doors about things like this! I wish I could move now, but I can’t afford to. thanks!!
p.s. This is my first time posting a question and I’m not sure which category this should have went in?!
hmmm…I don’t see where I can reply to answers? I’ll get the hang of this someday-I just wanted to say thanks for answering! I know she’s got her hands full, many of the people here are, well, not people you’d want to live by (that’s why we keep to ourselves) and it is more peaceful here since she started, I’ll try to think of it from her point of view:)

Im sure she only means the outside decor. She dont care what is inside, thats your business…
I think she means the lights and all outside. The inside decoration is none of her concern.
I agree she means outside. You could decorate your living space any way you choose as long as it does not violate any by-laws or interfere with the safety of others. I was a landlord for more than 30 years and believe me I have seen it all. Your new apt. manager will settle down soon she or he is just trying to get it right. They just want everyone to be happy and content. It is a very hard job. Be patient.
It will definitely mean anything visible from outside as it’s considered bad luck in the UK to have any Christmas decorations up after Twelfth Night.
She probably meant outside decorations. OTOH, some management companies can be nuts. You can put your questions in any category you wish, but I think you made the right choice this time.
only inside they don’t care what you have inside your apartment, i have rental property and i don’t even care when they take down their decorations or put them up or if they even do. but she only meant the outside.
The same in our association they have guidelines and dates for every little thing.
I guess they have to or some people would leave their little drummer boys on the front lawn til July.
I think she’s got a damned cheek. You should be able to keep your decorations up as long as you like. Whatever is the world coming to? I would like to advise you to tell her to take a running jump, but I do not know how much power this person has to make your life unpleasant. Perhaps you had better ask her exactly why she thinks you should take them down?
I think keeping the decorations up all winter is a very good idea, it keeps things looking cheerful at this dismal time of year, and it used to be quite usual for people to leave their decorations up for long after Christmas.
It probably meant anything visible from outside.
