apartment because its cheaper

Don’t do either.

Buy a house, the mortgage will be cheaper, then rent a room out and this will cover your mortgage.

You will save money and live for free basically.

House, you can do anything you want in it and not having to worry about the fees when you move out. Its your house, so you can do what you want to do with it.

Considering that all expenses would be the same, I would prefer a house because no one is on the other side of the wall, (more privacy)

I like a house because we have garden, hearing birds singing, good neighborhood

House for sure

I would hate living in an apartment with someone liveing above me or with me living above someone else or the fact that someone could be on the other side of the wall listening to you

House who likes having to live next to people separated by a 2ft wall.

House. because you own it and real estate goes up in value over time. Plus there is the tax write off. If an emergency arises you have the option of getting an equity loan on the house.
A home is usually larger than an apartment. You will never get evicted because the owners have decided to sell.
You can build on. You can add buildings on the lot or cut down trees or bushes you don’t like.
The cost to live there, unlike rent, will never go up (unless you refinance but that’s your choice).
Rules shouldn’t change. Unless you are in a strict home owners group.

I would say it depends on whether or not you are single/have kids. I am single and choose apartment living over a house because the property is responsible for the maintenance of the apartment, plus I don’t need much room. With a house you would have to pay for all of the maintenance, and that can run thousands of dollars.

If are married a house would be better because you have another source of income to help out with expenses, plus more room.
