Can i be forced to sell my share of an apartment building?

I own one third of an apartment building with two other partners. We all own equal shares of 1/3. If one of the partners decides they want out of the partnership, can they force the sale of the property?

Tax implications of carrying loan on sale of apartment building?

My brother just got his capital gains statement for the sale of a 4 unit apartment. He is carrying 90% of the sale price from the buyer with loan at 6% interest. Is there some regulation that allows reduction in his current tax liability?Rent Back
