I am looking to move into a better apartment I only have one apartment managment company on my credit all my other rental history is excellent. What should I do?

Is the bad older than the good? If so then it may not hurt you, if it was the last rental agreement it might hurt more.
If your “one apartment complex” is an eviction, collection or charge back don’t waste your time with the “better” places. You have documented your willingness to screw someone else over and not many landlords will be stepping up asking for that. The rental market is excellent right now, there is no reason to take such a huge risk.
I have okay credit also. I also have 1 apartment complex on my credit that I had a bad standing with, due to family issues and such. It has prevented me from getting a nicer apartment. The only thing I can do is rent a house from a home owner. and that sucks because I can only pay up to 600 per month and the houses in my area for 600.00 are crappy.
Apply for an apartment. You sound like a good tenant prospect based on above. Is there something you’re not telling us? You have only rented once, are employed, have excellent credit? Good tenant under most management.
